A Bluetooth scanner connects to smartphones just like an external keyboard.

That is how the scanner actually works, when it reads a barcode it “types” the characters where the cursor is on the screen.

Use the manufacturer's quickstart guide or manual

1.  Set scanner suffix to Carriage Return
2.  Pair the BlueTooth scanner

Using the scanner

1.  Start Scan to Spreadsheet
2.  Open a new or existing spreadsheet
3.  Tap on a field to place the cursor
4.  Start scanning.
